exhibition · 2026-09-18

From 14 to 20 September, the London Design Festival will feature the exhibition Hanging Baskets at Awaykin in Hackney, organized by Slancha, a design gallery established by Harvey Everson and Findlay MacDonald. This showcase highlights ten contemporary designers who transform hanging planters into collectible art pieces. Among the standout creations are Nicolas Zanoni's Pyrofoam Planter, Coline Le Quenven's Tri-diatreta, Romain Basile Petrot's engraved aluminum plates, Marc Sweeney's repurposed champagne bucket, and Martha McGuinn's intricate laser-cut designs. Additional works include Hanna Fastrich's Red Hot, pieces from Six Dots Design and ThisIsByron, Sheyang Li's delicate creation, and All Ears' striped wooden block, all complemented by floral arrangements from Studio Kumari. Dezeen recognized Slancha as a leading gallery in London design.
