Simplex Architecture's YP Building in Seoul
Simplex Architecture has completed the YP Building in Seocho-dong, Seoul, a mixed-use office project of 1,120 m². The design team includes Kyoungmin Kim and Yonu Lee, with lead architects Chung Whan Park and Sanghun Song. The building sits at the transition between an existing apartment complex and a narrow 4-meter street slated for future widening as part of a district development plan tied to adjacent residential reconstruction. The structure responds flexibly to its evolving urban context, balancing low-rise commercial fabric with emerging redeveloped residential scale. Photography by Kyungsub Shin. Structural engineering by CNL Engineering, MEP by Suyang Engineering, and general contracting by Lawoo Construction.
