Silvia Ziranek's BY A THREAD tackles abuse against women at MOCA London
From 31 May to 5 July 2026, MOCA London will showcase Silvia Ziranek's multimedia exhibition titled BY A THREAD, which features her poem cycle UNSUNG SONGS. The highlight of the exhibition is a 10-foot mobile constructed from common materials, adorned with textile panels that present her poetry. Accompanying elements include wall text labeled 'THE MY SCAR' and an audio track featuring 15 songs. Ziranek's work explores themes of vulnerability and emotional ignorance, with the intent to empower women and encourage perpetrators to unlearn aggression. A publication by Herman Lelie will be released alongside the exhibition. Wearable art will be created by Tatty Devine, while Betterbadges will produce badges. The installation will later move to The House of Smalls in Edinburgh, opening on 25 November 2026.
