Silvia Mei's 'Becoming Show' Opens in Quartu Sant'Elena as Part of V-Art Festival

Silvia Mei's solo exhibition 'Becoming Show' opened on June 26 at The Social Gallery in Quartu Sant'Elena, Sardinia, as part of the V-Art – Quartu Exposition festival. Curated by Ivo Serafino Fenu, the show features works from the Giuseppe Demara Collection, exploring themes of identity, body, and imagination through hybrid figures and metamorphic forms. The artist's paintings blend human, animal, and symbolic elements, creating enigmatic presences that challenge traditional representation. Giovanni Coda, director of The Social Gallery, describes each face as a threshold and each figure as a passage where memory, desire, and imagination intertwine without fixed form. The exhibition runs Thursday to Saturday from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
