Silo Creates Privacy Manifestations for Eurojust Headquarters in The Hague

architecture-design · 2026-09-26

Silo, in partnership with Heijmans, has executed a spatial design project at the Eurojust headquarters located in The Hague, Netherlands, aimed at safeguarding sensitive meetings while allowing natural light to permeate. Eurojust, which tackles cross-border crime across Europe, is housed in a twelve-story tower designed by Mecanoo, accommodating four hundred desks for legal representatives. The custom graphic glass film, adorned with delicate patterns inspired by coastal dunes and historical treaty documents, obstructs views into conference rooms. The design incorporates a visual grid of vertical lines and small letterforms, utilizing two layers of film for both privacy and artistic effect. This installation permits sunlight to enter, fostering a serene environment that merges discreet work areas with ample natural light. The project has been showcased on Behance.
