Siena's Galleria G.O. Opens with All-Under-35 Artist Program

In Siena, the municipal exhibition space Palazzo Patrizi has been rebranded as Galleria G.O. after a major renovation completed in 2025. Directed by Michela Eremita and overseen by the Comune di Siena's Servizio Musei e Collezioni Civiche, the gallery exclusively supports artists under 35 through public calls, production funding, and research residencies. Its inaugural program, AccaDueO, launched in 2026 with a focus on water. The first exhibition, Pubblica (March 2026), curated by Florence-based Toast Project, featured works by Jona B. Gandolfo, Gaia Lupo, Francesco Maggiora, and Francesco Toninelli, exploring fluidity, permeability, and community. The second exhibition, Dolce Acqua (May 2026), by Hetty Laycock and Federica Zanlucchi, resulted from nearly a year of interdisciplinary research and incorporates the myth of Siena's underground river Diana. Each selected project receives €5,000 for production. Upcoming events include an August 2026 residency restitution by FMS School winners, and a solo show by Gabriele Diversi in autumn 2026, closing the first AccaDueO cycle. A new call, AccaDueO Ice, will maintain the water theme with a focus on ice, again supporting under-35 artists with production grants.
