SHOLOMITSKA Ceramics Store Interior Designed by Dmitriy Sivak in Kyiv

Dmitriy Sivak, founder of Sivak Partners, designed the SHOLOMITSKA ceramics shop in Kyiv where the interior surfaces are made from the same custom ceramic tiles produced by the studio. The bar counter is clad in these tiles, with fragments of vessels emerging from raw clay. A café precedes the retail area, allowing visitors to test ceramics by using them before purchasing. Steel plinths at living-room height display objects to evoke domestic settings. Walls, floor, and ceiling share a warm monochromatic tone, differentiated only by texture. Rounded openings echo the brand's loops and rings, integrating architecture with product language. A mirrored arch marks the threshold between visitor and owner. A curved wooden cabinet at the far end provides the only material departure from fired clay. Backlit shelving at sitting height avoids institutional distance. The exterior uses crushed granite to blend into the historic Kyiv stone facade. Sivak's design treats the space as an extension of the ceramics themselves, rather than a neutral container.
