Shiye Architecture Design and Research Practice Completes 200 m² Split-Level Chongqing Villa
A 200-square-metre stacked villa in Chongqing has been reworked by Shiye Architecture Design and Research Practice around the idea of "living freely." The project, titled Split-Level Apartment, is scheduled for completion in 2026 and was curated by HAN Shuang (韩爽). Shuo Liu served as lead architect, with Tianzhou Yang credited for photography. Products from Hansgrohe, Bosch and Daikin were specified, and the design team listing names DAIKIN and HITACHI; Golden Lemon Decoration handled engineering and the client was Xixi Zhou. Landscape work was carried out by Shiye Architecture Design and Research Practice itself. The architects describe the scheme as a spatial experiment that begins from the premise that a home released from the complex requirements of multi-generational living, and intended instead for the long-term residence of one person, allows the conventional order of domestic life to be reinterpreted. The dwelling is classified under Houses, Apartments and Residential Interiors.
