SHISUO Unveils 'The Full Moon' Public Art Installation at Shanghai's Power Station of Art

At the Power Station of Art (PSA) in Shanghai, the SHISUO design office has unveiled "The Full Moon," a public art installation spanning 20 m², curated by HAN Shuang. Completed in 2025, this project honors the Mid-Autumn Festival and was created in partnership with Shi Qinling, a noted inheritor of the Xuhui Fenglin "Shanghai-style Paper-Cutting" intangible cultural heritage. The artwork emphasizes themes of the moon, rabbits, and paper-cutting traditions. In various cultures, rabbits are cherished figures, and in Chinese Mid-Autumn tales, they are closely associated with the moon, symbolizing vitality and the cycles of existence. The design team comprises Sanif, Changshan, Lin Zihan, and Zhang Yich, while construction was overseen by Shanghai Sun Exhibition Services Co., Ltd., led by project managers Zhang Ying and Yue Jianping, along with a dedicated team. Photography credits go to Jianyuan Ye. This installation is categorized under Installations and Structures.
