ShiftCam has announced its new X.Series SuperZoom lenses for smartphone photographers, promising unprecedented reach. The series includes two focal lengths: a 2x SuperZoom and a 3.5x SuperZoom, which work in conjunction with Apple's periscope telephoto camera module. On the iPhone 17 Pro series, the 3.5x lens achieves a 350mm equivalent focal length, while the 2x delivers 192mm. On other devices like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, the 3.5x can reach 420mm equivalent. The 2x lens is optimized for action, events, and urban scenes, focusing as close as six meters, while the 3.5x is suited for wildlife, distant landscapes, and architecture, focusing to eight meters. ShiftCam emphasizes optical quality through fluorite crystal, multi-element designs, and coatings.
