Shepard Fairey's Ramones 50th Screen Print Drops September 3
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ramones' debut album, Shepard Fairey is launching a screen print entitled "Ramones 50th." This limited edition of 600 prints will be available for $75 starting Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 10am PDT via Obey Giant's online store. Measuring 24 x 18 inches, the artwork is inspired by a photograph taken by Danny Fields for the band's third album, "Rocket to Russia" (1977), and features colors that pay homage to their first three albums. Fairey reflects on the band's remarkable two-year period with drummer Tommy Ramone and recalls attending their concerts in 1988 and 1989. Each print, printed on 80 lb cream Speckletone paper, is signed by Fairey and comes with a Digital Certificate of Authenticity. Customers are limited to one purchase each.
