Shaoguan Exhibition Opens at Guangdong Cultural and Tourism Center in Paris

On July 5, 2026, the Guangdong Cultural and Tourism Center (GCTC) in Paris signed a tourism cooperation agreement with a delegation from Shaoguan, a city of nearly 2.9 million in northern Guangdong. The ceremony also inaugurated the exhibition "Shaoguan: Echo of a Millennial Heritage," featuring large-format photographs, traditional crafts, and costumes of the Hakka and Yao communities. The exhibition highlights Shaoguan's UNESCO-listed Danxia mountains, Nanhua Temple (a Chan Buddhism site where the sixth patriarch Huineng taught), the historic Meiguan Pass, and the living traditions of the Hakka and Yao peoples. Several photographs include NFC chips for supplementary content. The exhibition runs from July 5 to 18, 2026, Monday to Saturday, 10:00–17:00, at GCTC, 11-13 rue Gros, 75016 Paris, with free entry.
