Shao Yang Brings Underworld Royale Part 2 to Shanghai for Spring 2027
Shao Yang unveiled her latest fashion line, titled Underworld Royale, Part 2: Softness in the Shadows, in Shanghai for Spring 2027. This event followed a prior showcase at the Chinese Tuxedo restaurant in New York. The collection reflects Yang’s Taiwanese-American roots, drawing inspiration from the gangster films of 1990s Hong Kong that shaped her youth in Taipei and Brooklyn. The collection innovatively reinterprets the classic tough guy aesthetic, featuring flexible leather jackets and relaxed tailoring. Standout items included asymmetrical three-piece suits and cropped blazers. Recently, Yang was honored with the CFDA | Genesis House AAPI Design + Innovation Grant.
