Shafiq Alam and Md Ferdous Rana Design SONATA Event Identity
Shafiq Alam and Md Ferdous Rana created the event identity design for SONATA, structured around a high-contrast system of near-black (#0A0A0A) fields and deep crimson (#8B1A1A) condensed Didone letterforms scaled to 200–300pt. The design is organized into eight verses, each with titles like “Verse 3 / Where Reverence Meets Revelation” in 14pt italic crimson on full-bleed crimson divider panels. The brandmark is a circular monogram featuring a hairline N bisecting a thin-stroke serif O in deep crimson against black. Cinematic staged photography incorporates recurring props such as marble composer busts, hourglasses, roses, and baroque velvet chairs, with musicians playing cello, trumpet, harp, and flute. The palette is limited to four tones: near-black, crimson, warm sand gold, and ivory. The project is available on Behance.
