Sewing machine as design tool explored in VÆRKTØJ 3 at 3daysofdesign 2026
A striking exhibition titled VÆRKTØJ will return to Copenhagen during the 3daysofdesign event from June 10 to 12, 2026. Originally introduced in 2024 by a talented group including Frederik Weber, Gustav Dupont, and others, this year’s theme is "Make This Moment Matter." The showcase will cover eight distinct Design Districts, featuring ten innovative designers and studios, among them Erwan Bouroullec and Foster + Partners Industrial Design. Each participant will craft pieces inspired by a sewing machine, demonstrating the intersection of tools and creativity with notable works such as Bouroullec's Avalanche Sofa and a chair by Hurtigkarl fashioned from recycled sails.
