Seven highlights from Osaka Art and Design 2026
The fourth iteration of Osaka Art and Design is scheduled from May 27 to June 23, 2026, taking place at various locations throughout Osaka. Notable features include a tribute exhibition at Shinsaibashi Parco for the late sculptor and graphic designer Takenobu Igarashi, showcasing his drawings, graphic designs, and a reimagined alphabet of his Parco typeface. At Graf Porch gallery, Dutch designer Sander Wassink presents his V Series of customizable chairs, incorporating an aluminum joint system and mixed materials. Additionally, Japanese artist Yuichi Hirako will display a massive wooden sculpture of a body with a tree and antlers at Hankyu Umeda department store. Other highlights include Emission studio's Light Crystallized collection at Kintetsu Department Store Abeno and Maito Otake's towel sculpture at Yodoyabashi station.
