Sergio Gómez Fragments a 20-Meter Painting into Eight Pieces at Espacio Argén, Madrid

exhibition · 2026-10-06

Sergio Gómez, also known as SRGER, hailing from Sevilla and born in 1983, showcases his artwork at Espacio Argén in Madrid. The centerpiece is a 2 x 20 meter painting produced during a residency in June. This large canvas has been divided into seven medium-sized pieces and one prominent 4 x 3 meter canvas, all arranged in a circular formation. The largest canvas is affixed to the wall, while the others stand independently. A long piece of raw canvas featuring a black stripe is placed on the floor. Upon entering, viewers can see the backs of the canvases, labeled RAL with a three-digit number. The exhibition is curated by Jordi Pallarès and backed by Tha House Social and El Palacio, under the direction of Amalio Gaitero.
