Sensual Surfaces at Kent State University Explores Fashion and Architecture Exchanges
From late March through June, Kent State University presented an exhibition named "Sensual Surfaces" at the Armstrong Gallery, designed by the Eliot Center for Architecture and Environmental Design. Collaborating with faculty and students alongside visiting artist Adam Nathaniel Furman from London, the project featured innovative works, including a 3D-printed figure, a fabric design, and an acrylic model. The engaging setup created a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of a pop-up jewelry shop. Additionally, Furman delivered a lecture exploring themes of inclusivity drawn from his experiences in London's queer pubs, inviting visitors to connect with the artistic messages.
