Sell Out Show vending machine sells designer objects at 3 Days of Design

During 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen, a vending machine installed at Maria's Kiosk offered 24 limited-edition design objects by independent designers, with prices capped at 635DKK (£73/€85). The initiative, called Sell Out Show, was organized by designers Guillaume Gindrat, Frederik Buchmann, Massimo Scheidegger, and Bruno Pauli Caldas, who met at ÉCAL. All profits went to the creators. Objects ranged from a butter knife by Oded Webman to a three-metre-long candle by Anna-Lena Wolfrum. The machine was placed in a kiosk near Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn, run by Jørgen Hjelm Hansen for over 30 years, to reach a broader audience. Around half sold at launch; 20 of 24 were sold out by the event's end. The organizers consider it a one-off but may repeat in another city.
