See Architects Designs Nonhyun 169 Commercial Building in Seoul's Gangnam District
See Architects has completed Nonhyun 169, a commercial building in Seoul's Gangnam district. The 520-square-meter structure was designed by lead architect Kee Lew and completed in 2025. Located at the intersection of a busy commercial street and a residential alley, the site presented zoning restrictions limiting building height to four stories with less floor area ratio than typical commercial zones. The design challenge involved creating a distinctive commercial presence while adhering to these formal constraints. Structural engineering was handled by SDM Partners, while Yousung Engineering provided mechanical consulting. The project was curated by Miwa Negoro.
