Schiaparelli's Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2026 Collection Draws on Gaudí's Architectural Philosophy

Schiaparelli creative director Daniel Roseberry presented the haute couture fall/winter 2026 collection 'The Call of the Void' at the Petit Palais, drawing inspiration from Antoni Gaudí's architecture in Barcelona. Rather than directly mimicking Gaudí's forms, Roseberry adopted his method of creative freedom, intuition, and structural efficiency rooted in nature. The collection emerged from a creative crisis after a trip to Barcelona where no epiphany occurred; that absence shaped the project. Garments feature undulating surfaces, organic volumes, iridescent mosaics, and gravity-defying structures, with seams, embroidery, and volumes functioning as a continuous structure. Roseberry emphasizes craftsmanship in an era of AI-generated fashion, with hand-embroidered dresses, ceramic applications, crystals, and molded surfaces. The collection reflects on creating when 'everything has been done,' positioning architecture as an attitude toward the creative process.
