At the Designhotel Laurichhof in Pirna, Germany, the Schachmatt suite, crafted by Seidel Architekten, revolves around the dynamic relationship between circles and squares. Striking black-and-white wall designs showcase overlapping circular and rectangular patterns, complemented by textured flooring reminiscent of terrazzo. Material highlights include a deep violet velvet sofa, an aubergine-hued bedroom wall, and an ochre rug that delineate different areas. The circular theme is further emphasized with round dining tables, circular lighting fixtures, and mirrors. In the kitchen, white cabinets contrast with black countertops, while the bathroom continues the geometric theme with graphics in black, white, and grey, along with reflective elements.
