SAVVY STUDIO Designs Modular Packaging for Chef Søren Westh’s Quarter Past Noon
SAVVY STUDIO has created a packaging design system for Quarter Past Noon, a food project shaped with chef Søren Westh. The design pairs a rigid cloth box with paper recipe cards, containing three printed books and a folder of forty-five loose recipe sheets. The three books divide content into sections: the main book combines personal stories with seasonal food, The Table Cloth documents meals with friends, and the third explores Lille Petra, a café by &Tradition. Soft pencil illustrations by Isabella Cotier brighten each page, while photographs by Clément Pascal capture meals in soft light. The outer box is wrapped in gray woven linen, opening to an emerald green interior. The inner books feature bright primary cover tones—deep blue, sunny yellow, and warm red—and exposed thread sewing allows them to lie flat. Heavy paper absorbs ink and feels soft. Clean sans serif type runs along the outer box edges, and clear page grids accommodate both large photos and small charts. The modular design allows the box to grow over time, keeping family recipes safe. The finished set aims to turn cooking into a calm daily habit. The full project is available on Behance.
