Saudi Arabia Escalates Yemen War as Pakistan Prepares Support Role

Saudi Arabia is ramping up its military efforts against the Houthis in Yemen, with Pakistan set to play a supportive role in the conflict. To garner public support in Pakistan, both Islamabad and Riyadh have highlighted a recent drone strike by the Houthis targeting Mecca. Instead of engaging directly in combat, Pakistani forces are expected to assist by allowing Saudi troops to focus on what is anticipated to be a lengthy war, involving hundreds of thousands of fighters from Yemen on both sides. This partnership signifies an increasing level of defense collaboration between the two nations as Riyadh looks for regional allies for its ongoing campaign.
