Sarah Dehandschutter unveils LLLL.09 and LLLL.09.8 pendant lamps for LLLL

architecture-design · 2026-06-12

Belgian designer Sarah Dehandschutter has expanded her lighting brand LLLL with two new sculptural pendant lamps: LLLL.09 and LLLL.09.8. The lamps feature fluid, curvilinear metal frames wrapped in stretched knitted fabric, available in three lengths (800, 1000, 1200 mm) and three neutral tones (white, silver-white, gold). They can be hung vertically or horizontally in clusters, with LED strips along inner edges diffusing light through the textile. Handmade in Belgium, the lamps use fine current-carrying steel cables for support and power, creating a weightless appearance. Grouped, the overlapping membranes produce moiré effects and subtle visual movement. The light character shifts with textile choice: white-silver with 2700K LEDs yields neutral warmth, while gold fabric with 2300K LEDs gives deeper atmospheric illumination. Designed for homes, hospitality, and public interiors, the lamps aim to add a calming atmosphere.
