exhibition · 2026-10-02

In a conversation with Segnonline, artist and curator Santina Ricupero elaborated on her multifaceted practice, her recent exhibition titled Impronte vive, and her upcoming endeavors. She oversees an annual contemporary art review for the Comune di Spinea, now entering its fifth year. Impronte vive showcases an array of black clay sculptures, installations incorporating logs and mirrors, as well as works on paper, bitumen, and engravings. The exhibition centers on the concept of imprint, utilizing techniques such as sculpture, mixed media, and photography. Among the highlighted pieces are the cast sculptures Intrecci and Impronte vive, along with a sculpture crafted from a twisted wisteria trunk. Ricupero aims to advance the Relitti series and produce bronze sculptures, with the exhibition set to take place in Mirano in April 2026.
