Sandra Cattaneo Adorno: From Street Photography to Venice Biennale
Sandra Cattaneo Adorno, a 1953-born photographer from Rio de Janeiro, launched her career at 60 in 2013. Known for her street photography, she examines themes surrounding reality and representation. She has released four monographs through Radius Books: "The Other Half of the Sky" (2019), "Águas de Ouro" (2020), "Scarti di Tempo" (2022), and the forthcoming "Ten Years" in 2024. This latest collection debuted at the 60th Venice Biennale in April 2024 and will later be shown in Florence in 2025. Additionally, she anticipates a solo exhibition at the 61st Biennale in May 2026. Her recent work, "Fragments of Light," incorporates silver metallic ink and video projections at Palazzo Bembo.
