SaloneSatellite Permanent Collection Opens in Jakarta, Third Stop on International Tour
From September 18 to October 18, the Townhall of the Indonesia Design District in Jakarta is showcasing fifty-five items from the SaloneSatellite Permanent Collection. This exhibition is part of a global tour that commenced in Hong Kong in 2024 and proceeded to Osaka in 2025. The complete archive consists of 415 pieces that were catalogued in 2018 at the Artwood Academy in northern Italy. Marva Griffin Wilshire, the founder, refers to the Jakarta exhibition as "a galaxy of stories." Since its inception in 1997, around 16,000 young designers from over 60 nations have engaged with this platform for talents under 35. Griffin Wilshire, known as the "godmother of Italian design," aspires to maintain continuity in the collection's expansion led by Asia.
