Sabine Marcelis and Iittala debut Unda glassware capturing light on water
Iittala, a Finnish glassmaker, has launched a new collection named Unda, marking its initial collaboration with designer Sabine Marcelis. This series features hand-blown glass lamps and vases that mimic the interplay between light and water. The term Unda, meaning wave in Latin, reflects the collection's inspiration drawn from Finland's unique light. Highlights include a cylindrical table lamp and a limited-edition vase, standing nearly 50 centimeters and limited to 500 pieces. Available in three colors—Dawn, Dusk, and Shadow—the collection was crafted at Iittala’s glass factory, the largest of its kind in the Nordic region.
