Saad Qureshi on Memory and 'Mindscapes' in LOOK OUT at CLOSE, Somerset
There's an upcoming collective show called LOOK OUT that will feature Saad Qureshi's sculptures and conceptual landscapes at CLOSE in Somerset, running from September 12 to October 31, 2026. This exhibition delves into landscapes as both physical spaces and mental constructs, highlighting works from various artists, such as Ivon Hitchens and Sarah Gillespie. Qureshi describes his art as "mindscapes," blending elements of memory and dreams, acknowledging that their unpredictability shapes their essence. Notable pieces include A Handful of Paradise and bridging the hereafter, both from 2024. Additionally, Tabish Khan recently reviewed Qureshi's earlier exhibition, On Paradise, Between Hope and Memory, at the Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities.
