RVO: Luca Di Luzio and Edoardo Servadio Trace Tiber Flood Marks in Rome

At Supernova in Trastevere, the exhibition 'RVO' presents a decade-long research project by Luca Di Luzio (Rome, 1986) and Edoardo Servadio (Genoa) on the Tiber River's historical flood markers in Rome. Curated by Fabio Sindici, the show maps the ancient 'manine'—inscriptions and plaques recording floods from the Middle Ages to the construction of embankments. Di Luzio uses frottage to transform these traces into evocative, almost illegible memories, while Servadio employs his invented font 'Lapidario Moderno' to transcribe fictional content. Their collaborative works blend art, science, and aesthetics, with installations placed at the exact heights and positions of the original markers. The exhibition runs until July 15, 2026.
