Royal Danish Academy Designs Temporary Train Station for Roskilde Festival

The Royal Danish Academy has designed a temporary train station for the Roskilde Festival, transforming a field outside Roskilde into Denmark's fourth-largest city for eight days each summer. The project, curated by Nina Vuga, covers 1,000 square meters and is set for 2026. Principal architects include Martin Marker, Morten Meldgaard, and Alex Lee, with a student cohort from the BA-programme Complexity & Practice contributing to the design. The station serves as both a transport node and festival gateway, accommodating over 125,000 visitors arriving by train.
