Rosewood Amsterdam Opens in Former Palace of Justice with 1,000-Work Art Collection
In the summer of 2025, the Rosewood Amsterdam, a high-end hotel situated in the historic Palace of Justice, made its debut. Created by Studio Piet Boon, the establishment boasts 134 guest rooms, five luxurious suites, event spaces, ballrooms, gardens, and courtyards, along with a restaurant named Eeuwen and a cocktail bar called Advocatuur. The hotel's art gallery features a carefully selected collection of nearly 1,000 artworks, including notable pieces by Frank Stella, Maarten Baas, and Viviane Sassen. A textile piece in the Grand Library pays homage to Rembrandt's Night Watch. Asaya Spa embraces yin-yang philosophy, while the garden, De Tuin, was crafted by Piet Oudolf. Monthly exhibitions, art walks, and five themed houses are also part of the offerings.
