ROMACONTINUA Wins Rome's 2050 Vision Competition

The Fondazione Roma REgeneration competition, aimed at shaping Rome's future by 2050, was won by the multidisciplinary team ROMACONTINUA, under the leadership of ITS and coordination by Alessandro Cambi. This team comprises urban planners, designers, and cultural experts, including Artribune. Their vision portrays Rome as a dynamic ecosystem that harmonizes cultural heritage, urban agriculture, and landscape. Notably, 80% of the city is characterized by open spaces and undeveloped land, which can function as ecological infrastructure. The Tiber River is suggested as a fundamental blue-green element. The initiative seeks to redistribute tourist activity and promote sustainability. Mayor Roberto Gualtieri and Lazio Region President Francesco Rocca highlighted the importance of collaboration to bridge historical divides. Established in 2023, Fondazione Roma REgeneration aims to boost Rome's urban competitiveness.
