Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II debuts with 18% range increase to 390 miles

architecture-design · 2026-06-02

Rolls-Royce has unveiled the Series II update for its first EV, the Spectre, boosting official range by 18% to 390 miles (628 km) and introducing faster charging. The Spectre Series II Black Badge becomes the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever, delivering 1100 Nm of torque in 'Spirited' mode. Cosmetic updates include Duality Twill fabric interior with 2.6 million stitches and 10 miles of thread, available in Lilac, Chocolate, Black, and Sage with 50 thread colors, and Placed Perforation leather with three-sized perforations forming artworks on seats and backlit door cards. A new 'Brindled Walnut' veneer made from waste walnut and eucalyptus fibers, a fascia with over 8,000 pixel-like lights, and an aviation-inspired timepiece debut. The original Spectre started at £333,000; the Black Badge can approach Ferrari Luce's £474,320. Rolls-Royce research shows Spectre is typically a second Rolls in a seven-car garage, driven 4,000 miles (6,500 km) annually, mostly by the owner alone. Domagoj Dukec, Director of Design, called Spectre 'one of the most elegant automotive forms of the modern era.' CEO Chris Brownridge said Series II extends bespoke possibilities, citing co-founder Sir Henry Royce: 'Small things make perfection, but perfection is no small thing.'
