Rokoko under Construction: Ausstellung zum 300-jährigen Jubiläum von Schloss Augustusburg
From June 27 to November 1, 2026, Schloss Augustusburg in Brühl will celebrate its 300th anniversary with a major exhibition titled "Rokoko under Construction – The Making of Schloss Augustusburg." This event will explore the construction of the Rococo palace and highlight the contributions of various figures, including architects and artisans from around the globe. The exhibition will address themes such as labor migration and the exchange of skilled workers in the 18th century. Significant artifacts, including tools, material samples, and designs by François de Cuvilliés, will be showcased, along with a wartime relic of the damaged Lacca-povera cabinet, supported by a €90,000 grant from the federal cultural foundation.
