Rodolfo Agrella named artistic director of Italian furniture brand Potocco

Rodolfo Agrella, a designer and architect originally from Venezuela and currently based in New York, has been named the artistic director of Potocco, an Italian furniture brand established in Udine in 1919. Agrella studied architecture at both Central University of Venezuela and Politecnico di Milano. In 2015, he received the German Design Award for 'The Shadow Collection' created for Koziol. He launched his own studio, RADS, in the same year and became the creative director for ICFF New York in 2019. His portfolio includes clients like Absolut Vodka, Heller, and Nii. In 2025, he designed the visual identity for Madre Carmen, Venezuela's first saint. He first connected with the Potocco family through Marianna Potocco at NeoCon in Chicago five years ago. Agrella was chosen to redefine the company's identity, merging Italian craftsmanship with insights from American and Latin American markets. This partnership signifies a generational transition as sisters Marianna and Alice Potocco assume leadership roles.
