Rock Pavilion by Pfeffer Torode Architecture in Centerville, Tennessee

Pfeffer Torode Architecture has completed the Rock Pavilion, a tranquil retreat on a farm in Centerville, Tennessee, designed to house and display a collection of stones gathered from the surrounding landscape. The 1,550-square-foot structure sits along the wooded edge of the property, just beyond a cluster of agrarian buildings overlooking the Duck River, one of North America's most biologically diverse waterways. Rather than creating a destination separate from its environment, the project aims to deepen the owner's connection to the land, transforming a personal collection into an experience of observation, reflection, and gathering. The design team includes Jamie Pfeffer, JP Jackson, and Carly Walker, with construction by Wellspring Builders. The project was completed in 2025.
