Robot Food's Psychedelic Packaging for Hip Pop Soda

architecture-design · 2026-09-02

Robot Food, a branding firm based in Leeds, has launched an eye-catching new design for Hip Pop, a kombucha label founded by Kenny and Emma Thackray. After spending six years in the functional beverage market, Hip Pop aims to compete with popular soft drinks. Their packaging features lively colors on sleek aluminum cans; the soda line includes shades like cobalt blue, electric magenta, orange, and acid yellow, while the kombucha range presents a warm cream background. Drawing inspiration from scoby, the typography mixes bold black letters with detailed fruit drawings, striking a balance between clarity and an edgy vibe. Matte finishes enhance grip, while high-gloss varnishes highlight the fruit. This project is showcased in the studio's portfolio and on Behance.
