Roberto Donatelli's 'Elettrici' Exhibition Opens in Rome

The exhibition 'Elettrici,' featuring Italian artist Roberto Donatelli, will take place from May 8 to May 22, 2026, at Via Panama, 22 in Rome. Organized by Barbara Nardi of Coldwell Banker – Barbera Group, this marks the launch of her art initiative, showcasing Donatelli's electric chromaticism alongside the pre-war rationalist architecture of Luccichenti's 1935 building. Donatelli, who started his artistic journey in the 1970s at Giuseppe Morra's Naples studio, engaged with avant-garde movements like Viennese Actionism and Body Art. He documented performances by notable artists such as Hermann Nitsch and Marina Abramović, with these photographs now regarded as significant historical records. Although initially influenced by radical art, he remained dedicated to painting, exploring informal abstraction and American Abstract Expressionism since the 1980s, using hand-mixed pigments. The exhibition catalog features critiques from Enzo Battarra, Enrico Mascelloni, and Giuseppe Morra, with public relations managed by Scarlett Matassi.
