Rivera Paradise: AtelierM's 200 m² House in Buenos Aires

AtelierM has designed Rivera Paradise, a 200 m² house in Buenos Aires' Coghlan neighborhood, set for completion in 2026. The project, curated by Valentina Díaz, responds to an extreme urban condition: a small lot between party walls within a historical protection area that mandated preserving part of the existing structure. Led by architect Matias Mosquera, the team includes designers Camila Gianicolo and Cristian Grasso, technical lead Marcelo Vita, landscape architect Valeria Lennon, and civil engineer Marcelo Mastropietro. Rather than viewing the preservation requirement as a limitation, the design transforms it into a starting point, working with inherited elements—the bovedilla ceiling, exposed brick walls, and the site's material memory—to create contemporary architecture that integrates the past as an active part of new living.
