Ricardo Azevedo Arquitecto Designs Retirement Home in Santo Tirso, Portugal

Portuguese architecture firm Ricardo Azevedo Arquitecto has completed a retirement home in Santo Tirso, Portugal. The project, which covers 627 square meters, was finished in 2024. The building was designed with the understanding that architecture never begins with a blank slate, incorporating elements from the surrounding context and the architects' own sensibilities. The interior decoration was handled by AAR Déco, while Fénix Engenharia Civil provided engineering services. Photographs of the project were taken by Ivo Tavares Studio.
