RIBA announces six finalists for 2026 Stirling Prize shortlist
The six contenders for the 2026 RIBA Stirling Prize have been unveiled by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), marking the award's 30th anniversary. Since its inception in 1996, the prize has honored remarkable achievements in UK architecture. This year's finalists are: House at Fairmead by Sergison Bates (Epping Forest); BEAM by Bennetts Associates (Hertford); Lion Green Road by Mary Duggan Architects in collaboration with RUFF Architects (Coulsdon, London); Paddington Square by Renzo Piano Building Workshop alongside Adamson Associates (London); Pembroke Mill Lane by Haworth Tompkins (Cambridge); and River Wing, Clare College by Witherford Watson Mann Architects (Cambridge). The announcement of the winner will take place on October 15 at Old Billingsgate, London. Recent recipients include the Appleby Blue Almshouse (2025) and the Elizabeth Line (2024).
