RH Opens London Flagship in Historic Palladian Mansion

RH has officially opened its first store in London at 7 Burlington Gardens, a stunning Palladian mansion designed by Giacomo Leoni in 1721 for the 1st Earl of Darnley. The brand, formerly known as Restoration Hardware, has worked with Foster + Partners to rejuvenate the building, merging it with three nearby historic structures, all spread across five levels and over 5,000 square meters. This flagship location includes various areas for shopping, dining, and cultural experiences, featuring an Architecture & Design Library with a rare 1521 first Italian edition of Vitruvius' De Architectura, a Wine Bar and Tea Salon with luxurious Bronze Amani Spanish marble, and a 136-seat Dining Room showcasing champagne-lacquered Roman columns. Designer Anouska Hempel also contributed The Perch, featuring a striking smoked-glass aviary canopy. This launch follows RH's entry into the market in 2023 at Aynho Park in Banbury and expansions into cities like Paris and Milan.
