Reza Raeisifar's Illuminated Tulips Transform Tehran's Vast Gallery

Iranian artist Reza Raeisifar presented 'The Crimson Procession' at Vast Gallery in Tehran in November 2025, an immersive light and sound installation featuring oversized illuminated tulips. The tulips, made from translucent red acrylic petals on steel frameworks and lit from within, symbolize remembrance, sacrifice, and renewal. Visitors moved among the glowing sculptures, experiencing shifting light and perspectives. A soundscape by Pooya Pirozbakht deepened the contemplative atmosphere. Raeisifar described the red tulip as evoking lives lost on the path of truth and freedom, a symbol of resilience and sacrifice, while also recalling the resurgence of light from darkness. The installation was designed for standing, passing through, and pausing, with each work casting a red glow like a small light for endurance and a silent resistance against forgetting.
