Rebecca Warren Unveils New Bronze and Clay Sculptures at Maureen Paley, London

In London’s Bethnal Green, Maureen Paley is showcasing a collection of new sculptures by Rebecca Warren across both of its gallery spaces. This exhibition includes pieces crafted from bronze and raw clay, notably featuring the life-size bronze reclining nude titled "There Will Be Another You" (2026). Warren envisions the exhibition as a retrospective created by a slightly altered version of herself, where each piece oscillates between two distinct time periods—familiar yet unusual, accurate yet slightly off. The bronze sculpture portrays a figure in a dropped or resting position, characterized by melting limbs, exposed sinews, and two right arms without a left arm, blending blur and clarity. Its paint drips, stripes, and pools, resembling an effigy on a sarcophagus lid rather than a woman reclining.
