Re-Echo Club Reopens at Arsenale Institute for Duchamp Exhibition, Calls for Proposals
The Arsenale Institute for Politics of Representation in Venice is hosting the exhibition "D is for DUCHAMP the DEEP DYED DECEIVER," which coincides with the revival of the Re-Echo Club, curated by Elena Di Battista and Zoë Wismeth. This initiative, inspired by Carolyn Wells's 1913 literary deception, seeks submissions on two topics: "Who owns the meaning? Wrong answers only," and "It thinks for you – Advertising dissent." Proposals can encompass reconstructions or alternative narratives. Abstracts, limited to 3,000 characters, must be submitted anonymously by July 15th, with eligibility restricted to early-career applicants residing in Italy. Selected works will be showcased from September to November 2026, chosen by Di Battista, Wismeth, Wolfgang Scheppe, and Nero Editions.
