Rare 'Hatfield' Apple-1 Computer Signed by Wozniak and Jobs to Auction at Bonhams

Bonhams is set to auction the extraordinarily rare and fully operational 'Hatfield' Apple-1 Computer, with an estimated value between $500,000 and $800,000, during its History of Science, Technology & Computing sale from October 4 to 14. This particular machine bears the signature of Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and comes with a letter addressed to the original owner, Fred Hatfield, signed by Steve Jobs, who worked at Computer Data Systems. As one of fewer than 75 verified surviving Apple-1 computers, and among an even smaller group that remain functional, the 'Hatfield' Apple-1 will be showcased in Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, and New York before the auction. Introduced in 1976, the Apple-1 was Apple's inaugural product and is distinguished by its provenance and condition.
