Rare early Rembrandt leads Sotheby's Old Masters auction in London
Sotheby's has revealed its upcoming Evening Auction for Old Master and 19th Century Paintings and Sculpture in London, featuring a remarkable early history piece by Rembrandt. Set to go on public display tomorrow before the auction on 1 July, the event showcases 46 artworks, with 16 being auctioned for the first time, nearly a third having never been publicly shown, and six that haven't been seen in over sixty years. Rembrandt's work, 'Let The Little Children Come Unto Me,' is estimated to fetch between £8–12 million. Additionally, a roundel by Hans Memling, valued at £3–4 million, is highlighted as one of the artist's last and finest devotional pieces. This auction is regarded as one of the most exceptional collections of Old Master paintings at Sotheby's London in the past ten years.
