Raketa Renovates Holiday Home in Zasip with Respect for Original Architecture

The renovation and expansion of architect Oton Jugovec's holiday home in Zasip, Slovenia, has been completed by the architectural firm Raketa. The project, led by principal architects Katjuša Kranjc and Rok Kuhar, covers 285 square meters and was finished in 2024. Photographed by Miran Kambič, the house sits on the edge of a natural terrace overlooking Lake Bled. The design preserves the original spatial identity while introducing contemporary living interventions. The existing structure, conceived as an intimate retreat for observing the landscape, remains largely intact. New additions are carefully integrated without compromising the original architectural composition. The project falls under the categories of residential architecture, houses, and renovation.
